Avenue Magazine Announces 2013 Best Restaurants

March 1, 2013 – Last night Avenue magazine announced the 2013 Best Overall Restaurants as listed in the March issue, on stands now. The winning restaurants were revealed in front of just over 200 people at a VIP reception at Bradlee Distributors, 1245 73rd Ave. S.E. Also unveiled was this year’s Avenue Dinner Series lineup.
“Last night was a phenomenal success. We were thrilled to announce this year’s 10 Best Overall Restaurants. As the winners were announced it was wonderful to see them cheering each other on and offering congratulations,” says Jennifer Hamilton, executive editor of Avenue. “Besides showcasing the top 10, the March issue is a complete food-lover’s guide for the year, with everything from best late-night dining and best seafood to best decor and best brunch. We try really hard to make sure that every category is covered, our judges, who dine out several times a week, all year long, are truly the most knowledgeable group in the city when it comes to dining in Calgary.”
Throughout the evening, guests had the opportunity to sample dishes prepared on-site by six of the winning restaurants: Rouge, Model Milk, Brava Bistro, Cassis, Charcut Roast House and Teatro. Those same six will also be hosting dinners as part of the Avenue Dinner Series, allowing readers the opportunity to experience the best Calgary has to offer first-hand.
