Avenue’s Life Re-Imagined at Southcentre: Get Inspired

January 19, 2011 – Life-altering change is not an easy task to undertake, but Avenue found five incredible Calgarians who did just that. January’s “Life Re-Imagined” issue explores both the challenges and rewards that these individuals experienced while giving their life a major overhaul, and on Thursday January 20, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Southcentre Mall center court, Avenue will host an event to celebrate these five Calgarians and inspire you in person.

Ed Kang, a 34-year old who has been an animator, entrepreneur, pastor, and catalyst for social change
Tanis Tzavaras, who went from being a fitness competitor, to an obese new mom, to a personal trainer focused on health and balance
Robb Price, a diabetic and overweight smoker who turned his life around to positively influence his newborn son
Brian Martin, a paraplegic athlete planning to compete this summer in Ironman Canada; and
Dawn McIntyre, who suffered a childhood of abuse, but decided to use her experience to coach other women to overcome low self-worth.
“At this time of year many of us are trying to make changes and getting some inspiration from Calgarians who have succeeded in turning their lives around is just what we all need,” says Käthe Lemon, editor of Avenue magazine.
