It’s great when work you’re proud of is recognized by an unbiased and respected third party.West magazine — produced by RedPoint’s custom publishing division in partnership with Western Financial Group — is featured in a glowing review on the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association (AMPA) website.

In a review titled “All About West Magazine,” AMPA writer Bobbi Beatty describes West as “the epitome of content diversity,” and commends the publication for its “breathtaking photography and informative and imaginative articles” focused on Western Canada.

“As you can see, content is key, and in the case of West, [it’s] exemplary,” Beatty writes. “Take the current issue, for example. You’ll find a feature story on a miner and fur trader known as Twelve-foot Davis, and shorter stories about an albino killer whale, a national rodeo queen from Sundre and a small Saskatchewan town known as the sausage capital of Canada, along with an article about an old Hudson’s Bay Company documentary on the Arctic.”

The review describes the magazine as “successful,” with a well-developed, engaged and faithful group of readers who comment regularly about its features, columns and photography.

High praise for a magazine we’re all proud of.

Watch for West‘s next issue, out March 1, with features on big tree poaching, stamps in Western Canada, beagle ranching and the top 10 reasons to visit the East Kootenay region. Distributed to all Western Financial Group policyholders, West is also available by subscription.
